Corozal Bay Wildlife Sanctuary
The sanctuary was founded in 1998 to increase the viability of the West Indian Manatees. It is the second largest marine protected area and located in Sarteneja. Visit the sanctuary to see all kinds of aquatic species!
Shipstern Nature Reserve
The Nature Reserve highlights are: Butterfly Centre, Belize's native cats, Tropical Rainforest and Natural History. The reserve consists of over 300 different species of birds. If you're more interested in cats, the reserve is home to all 5 cat species that are found in Belize. Shipstern is located in Chunox village,Corozal. So, if you like wildlife, Shipstern is Nature Reserve is the place to visit!
